Music Video Premiere ‘Next Town’ By Stacy Clark

Stacy Clark is a Singer Songwriter originally from Buffalo, NY. Now, residing in Los Angeles, Stacy has accomplished many achievements including making the Billboard Heat Seeker Chart, garnered as one of Amazon’s Best Selling Albums in 2011, crowned as Best Pop Artist at the OC Music Awards, and taking home the Best Singer/Songwriter award at the 2012 Artists In Music Awards. This year, Stacy Clark releases her newest EP Days Into Nights.

From her new EP, Stacy releases her newest music video titled, ‘Next Town’. 'Next Town' explores Stacy’s internal and external emotions as she deals with a break up and her trying to find the next chapter in her life and love life in the next town.

The color pallet for the video is primarily black and white with the exception of highly saturated images projected on Stacy’s face and body. The projected images are a visual representation of the first verse of the song. They can either symbolize her reminiscing on her past relationship or her dreams and desires for her new relationship with either her life or next love, hence ‘Next Town’.

Other scenes in the video feature Stacy driving on a desert road, her hands on the wheel, her hair, and her face… This suggests her internal state of mind, while arriving in a small town at sunset. The shots are abstract enough to convey her emotional and psychological struggles, while also giving the video an avant-garde feel that hasn’t been seen before.

Candice Gordon Releases the David Bowie Remake and Music Video ‘John, I'm only Dancing’

Berlin based Singer Songwriter, Candice Gordon best known for her song ‘Smoking Like The Barrel of Gun’ and ‘I See a Demon’ releases the new music video, ‘John, I’m Only Dancing’, a remake of the 1972 David Bowie original song.

Candice Gordon is South African born, Irish songstress residing in Berlin, Germany. Candice’s music can be best described as  seductive 60s vintage throwback, rich with Jazz and Blues undertones.

Directed by Zoya Bassi, Candice Gordon's new video for David Bowie’s song ‘John, I'm Only Dancing’ shows Gordon at her best. Candice gives a compelling performance on both the track and the music video with vocals that both are haunting and dark, giving an ominous allure to the video.  Candice uses symbolism mixed with beautiful vocal tone and Black Keys style production, making it sound less of a cover and sound more of a Candice Gordon original.

Produced by Pogues front man, Shane McGowan ‘Before The Sunset Ends’ was the song that propelled Candice into the music scene and garnered rave reviews for its rich soundscape and lyricism. Candice also received critically acclaimed with her other song ‘Smoking Like The Barrel of Gun’. Candice achieved a loyal international following through touring around the world and received support by the BBC radio.

The remake of ‘John I'm only dancing’ David Bowie original indicates a huge leap for Candice Gordon. She is without a doubt an emerging artist to watch right now.

We have some great music for you by Forewalls, Beyond Conception, Canto, Eliza Neals, Nico Adams,  Christine Oliver, and Melanie Taylor, but we are doing something a little different. We are honoring a person whose life was cut short.

We are starting off the show with a dedication to a talented guitarist, a friend, and a great person, Jason Tennies of Forewalls.

Jason’s life was cut short due to symptoms caused by a horrible disease called, schizophrenia. This disease attacked Jason with almost no warning and within days after his first episode, it tragically took his life.

In honor of his life, Jason’s mother, Linda started a foundation to help bring awareness and education about mental disorders including, schizophrenia, depression, bi-polar disorder, and autism called the Jason Tennies Memorial Foundation. Health organizations like the Autism  Society, Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance, Mental Health America, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, The Brain and Behavior Research Fund, San Bernardino County Department of Veterans Affairs all support the Foundation and its cause in order to help raise awareness.

This year, the Tennies’ are behind a film project currently in pre-production with the title taken from a song Jason wrote called, “It’s Dark Here.” The full-length feature film is based on the final days of Jason Tennies' life with a focus on the disease and how doctors overlooked the seriousness and ultimately killed the 20-year-old. This disease and other related illnesses is often a subject that is often overlooked, but affects 1 out of 4 people, not just in the United States, but across the world.
